SprintRay Launches Midas Restore Definitive Restorative Resin for Chairside 3D Printing
The ceramic- and zirconia-filled resin is indicated for the fabrication of definitive crowns, inlays, onlays, and veneers using a chairside digital workflow.

Material Development: Midas Restore is a ceramic- and zirconia-filled resin designed for definitive crowns, inlays, onlays, and veneers using a chairside digital workflow.
Performance Testing: The material underwent laboratory testing to evaluate gloss retention, wear resistance, flexural strength, and surface hardness.
Digital Press Technology: Midas Restore is engineered for use with the Midas Digital Press, which allows processing of highly filled formulations.
Key Findings:
Midas Restore contains over 75% filler by weight, providing strength and wear resistance.
The material retained 98% of its gloss after 5,000 toothbrush-abrasion cycles.
It demonstrated five times the wear resistance compared to SprintRay Ceramic Crown over 200,000 cycles.
Biaxial flexural testing showed a maximum strength of 215 MPa and a mean of 180 MPa.
Surface hardness exceeded 80 HV, comparable to leading nanofilled composites.
Interpretation:
Midas Restore is designed to function effectively when bonded to tooth structure, integrating multiple performance characteristics into a single system.
Conclusion:
Midas Restore became available in the U.S. on September 1, 2026, and is validated for use with the SprintRay Midas Digital Press.
