The American Dental Association (ADA) is gathering feedback on a forthcoming Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS) rule aimed at improving interoperability standards and streamlining prior authorization for prescription drugs. A call scheduled for May 21 from 3-4:30 p.m. CDT allows dental stakeholders to contribute insights on issues such as the transition to a new FHIR-based system for electronic prior authorization, the potential elimination of a Direct Data Entry portal exception, and cybersecurity considerations for dental practices. The public comment period ends on June 15.
